Cricket club questions
Can players pay match fees on it?
Yes. Pick your team, tap your name, pay match fee and tea in one contactless tap or from a member account. The treasurer sees it reconciled the same day.
Does it read our Play-Cricket team sheets?
The Play-Cricket integration is in development via the ECB approved developer route. Until it is live we describe it honestly as in development. Team sheets can be entered manually meanwhile.
Is it safe in an empty pavilion?
The cabinet is steel, locked and monitored by remote telemetry. Faults and door events alert us. Place it inside the pavilion or a secure lobby; it is not weatherproof unless confirmed.
What happens in winter?
Nets nights and indoor sessions keep it trading. If your ground also hosts hockey or football, each section can have its own permanent machine, stocked for its sport, on the same account.
Can we split income between the club and the bar?
Statements show every sale by category, so the committee can allocate club income and bar income however it likes.
Can it sell energy drinks?
No. From April 2027 high-caffeine drinks cannot be sold to under-16s in England, and the consultation calls for a complete vending ban. No TVC planogram includes them.
We are a CASC. Does that matter?
It can. Trading income limits apply to CASCs. A managed machine where TVC trades and pays the club commission may be treated differently from the club selling stock itself. Ask your accountant; we have a guide in review.
