Why the honesty box fails
It is not that people are dishonest. It is that nobody carries cash, the tin is never where the guest is, and the person who is supposed to empty it is also umpiring. Fees go uncollected because collecting them is nobody's job at the moment it matters.
What replaces it
Three things, ideally on one screen by the door. Match fees per player from the team sheet: pick your team, tap your name, pay. Guest fees from the member's account: the member signs in, picks the guest, pays. Session fees for juniors and nets: parents pay on arrival, coaches coach.
Bank transfer is the halfway house most clubs try first. It moves the chasing from the tin to the treasurer's phone. It does not remove it.
Doing it on a kiosk

A note for CASC-registered clubs
Trading income limits apply to Community Amateur Sports Clubs. A managed machine where the operator trades and pays the club a commission may be treated differently from the club selling stock itself.
